Just crispy lettuce sandwich filling with a tower of Iceberg and mixed leaf lettuce for a low fat, zero calorie salad sandwich.

This very simple lettuce sandwich is ideally made for those looking for a low fat, low calorie sandwich and is most often used on sandwich diets.

The Iceberg lettuce sandwich also includes mixed leaf lettuce adding more flavor that this sandwich so desperately needs.

Add to that the nutty seeded white bread and it will add more flavor and texture.

Keep your lettuce sandwich as healthy as possible with a spread of light mayonnaise or butter spreading on the bottom and top slice of seeded white bread.

INGREDIENTS

2 slices of medium cut seeded white bread
Iceberg lettuce
Mixed leaf lettuce
Butter, mayonnaise or salad cream

INSTRUCTIONS

Take your bottom slice of seeded white bread and add a spread of butter, mayonnaise or salad cream

Piling a generous amount of Iceberg lettuce and mixed leaf until the sandwich is around an inch high

Finish the sandwich with the top slice of bread with another spread of butter, mayonnaise or salad cream

TIPS & ADVICE

Include the leaf and stork from the Iceberg lettuce for more flavor and texture. Keep your lettuce sandwich interesting with other mixed lettuce but use a seeded, or multi-grain bread for more flavors.
