Tesco Chicken Salad Sandwich Review

This is my review of the Tesco Chicken sandwich with malted brown bread, chicken breast, lemon and pepper mayonnaise, tomato, cucumber and mixed lettuce.

Close up view of the chicken sandwich
In this up close shot you’ll notice a generous amount of chicken which is rare, but it needs spreading out.

This one as been around as long as I can remember, and being one of the UK's favorite sandwiches, its no surprise all supermarkets carry their own - and this Tesco version is among one of the best.

Why I buy the this chicken salad sandwich more often than not is well, because Tesco is only a few minutes walk from me.

And in a closed fridge sandwich shelve this one always stands out as the most appetizing.

Chicken sandwich out of packaging on plate
Out of the sealed packaging and we can view the sandwich in all its glory.

Now, like all manipulative supermarket-bought sandwiches, this one will sometimes have a not-so-clever mound in the middle with no ingredients around the edges, but other times it can be short of anything, with little mayonnaise.

However, why I do choose this chicken sandwich over the others is because it is more consistently filled and has a higher standard than most.

Opened chicken salad sandwich
Opening the sandwich we can inspect the ingredients, and this is a good one, although a little tidying up is needed.

In the case of the sandwich I bought pictured above, there's plenty of chicken - or though be it needs a little spreading out - and lots of salad.

This one was on bought on its expire day so the bread wasn't the best, but that's to be expected.

Overall, the Tesco chicken salad sandwich beats the rest and is filled with texture and a flavor unique to this Tesco chicken sandwich, probably thanks to the pepper and lemon mayo.
